Hello all!
As I’m posting quite a lot on the blog now, I thought it might be nice to do a little round-up of the things I’ve written about at the end of each month, collated in one post. So here’s my first one for August! And it has been a busy month! We exchanged, completed and moved into our very first house in Tooting, and at the weekend, we got our first kitten, Dexter (yes, named after the TV show serial killer!)
A month of firsts, big expenditure and lots and lots of packing boxes (which Dexter seems to be having a lot of fun with!)ย I’ve still somehow managed to keep up with blogging, alongside my day job, so here’s what I wrote about on the blog this month!
Restaurants/Pop-ups I visited…
I visited a very cool Berlin Brunch pop-up in London. Read more here.
I tucked into gourmet sandwiches, salads and puds at Aline in Mayfair (possibly the most I’ve ever eaten in one sitting!). Read moreย here.
For Afternoon Tea Week, I tried out the Afternoon Tea at 108 Pantry, including a gluten-free option. Read more here.
I wrote about one of my favourite restaurants in Cyprus, which holds a lot of special memories for me – Vatouthkia. Read more here.
I tried out some ‘posh’ kebabs at Chifafa to see if they lived up to my Cyprus standards (hint, yes they did!) Read more here.
I had one of the nicest meals and experiences I’ve had in a long time at Tonic & Remedy in Old Street, and snapped some of the best food photos I’ve ever taken. Highly recommend taking a read here.
I wrote about my experience at Katz’s Deli in New York for a Throwback Thursday post. Read more here.
I tried out a new, modern way of Italian dining at Vapiano. Read more here.
I had a tapas feast at Tapas Revolution in Shoreditch! Read more here.
I wrote about one of my fave burger places, Greedy Cow in Mile End, for National Burger day. Read more here.
Events I attended…
I started the month with a gluten-free Italian cookery class with Coori Foods at Food at 52. Read more here.
I participated in the ‘FDBloggers‘ community ‘Get To Know’ series, encouraging people to find out more about the people behind the food blogs. Read more here.
I was a butcher’s apprentice for an evening with Asda, absolutely in my element! Read more here.
Products I tried out at home…
I tried out the yummy Corkers Crisps, perfect for a picnic! Read more here.

I wrote about a new charcoal product from Ginger Pig and The London Log Company, perfect for keeping the summer going with delicious BBQs! Read more here.
Home Cooking:
I made one of my favourite dishes, Moussaka, with my own recipe. Read more here.
It was a busy month! And September is proving to be equally hectic. But hectic is good ๐
I bet being a butchers apprentice was an interesting way to spend the evening! What a busy August and congrats on the house!
