I’ve been to a few restaurants in Soho recently for lunch, that I didn’t feel I could really make big blog posts out of. They were fairly casual lunches and I didn’t have my good camera on me. But I thought it would be a shame not to share my thoughts on them at least – so the first of these short and snappy posts is about Señor Ceviche.
I’d been hearing great things about it, so it couldn’t have been more perfect when the fabulous Lauren of The Lifestyle Diaries suggested we meet there. We’d been talking for months on social media but had never met in person. Our lunch at Señor Ceviche would change that!
The restaurant is located in Soho’s Kingly Court, which I’ve been so impressed with recently, and have been visiting quite a bit. It’s a courtyard tucked away between Carnaby Street and Regent Street, and hosts many wonderful restaurants. I remember going there a few years ago and there was barely anything there – it has changed a lot!
We both went for the £10 lunch menu which seemed like a bargain for a main, side and a drink. Lauren and I felt it would be wrong not to order the ceviche, so we both opted for the seabass ceviche, and I ordered black beans on the side while Lauren went for sweet potato fries.
It was all very tasty and the perfect amount of food for a quick lunch, but I’d definitely like to go back and try more. We did also order the Señor Ceviche main course to share between us (Sea bream and octopus ceviche with aji amarillo tiger’s milk, sweet potato puree, avocado, coriander, red onion & tempura baby squid) but this sadly never arrived. Aside from this mistake, the service was good.
Hopefully I’ll get the chance to return again soon to write an extended post with some better piccies! If you’ve been, let me know what you thought in the comments!
It was so lovely to finally meet you! Agreed – Kingly Court is such a gem when it comes to restaurants!

I really enjoyed the food at Señor Ceviche – well flavoured, fresh and not too pricey! We tried a couple of the ceviches but I could have easily ordered them all!
